Welcome to my new website!
Cameron Scot Griffith (CSG) has been around and involved with music for his entire life.
His parents (Dad a mellophone player, Mom a colorguard member/percussionist) met at drum corps, performed in alumni drum corps with Cam watching on (especially the drums), encouraged him in joining the music program at school (day band program, pit band, pep band, marching band, indoor drumline, jazz band), drove him and his drums to shows with his rock band (Gonculator), picked him up in the early morning hours after a drum corps weekend, and helped him move into college (SUNY Fredonia) where he studied music.
Cam's love of music led him to the world of teaching where he started at the age of 18 with teaching the Quaker Marching Band in Orchard Park, NY. This experience started a journey for him that he would continue with to today.
Cam is the current Director of Percussion for the Quaker Marching Band, Orchard Park Indoor Percussion Ensemble, Assistant Director of the Erie County Fair All-Star Band, and has been involved in the Marching Arts for over 25 years. His experience ranges from being a performer, writer, arranger, instructor, and director of drum corps, college marching band, high school marching band, and indoor drumlines.
In 2012, he started the East Irondequoit Indoor Percussion Ensemble from Rochester, New York, and served as Assistant Director, Composer/Arranger, and Show Designer alongside Director Francois Auclair from 2012 to 2018. Since 2019, Cameron has continued to serve as Show Designer and Composer/Arranger. Since its inception, the ensemble has grown, winning several NYSPC State Championships and continuing on to perform nationally as a WGI Regional Finalist.
